Green Computing

I just learned a bunch of tips for “Green Computing” and wanted to share. Most people leave their computers running at all time; I guess this way they can just jump on it when desired. I learned years ago that you should leave it running as it’s easier on the internal workings of the computer, I really wonder if it matters? The energy efficient thing to do is turn it off when not in use, at least at night when people are sleeping.

Non-Stick Cookware is Evil

Is non-stick cookware dangerous? Yes! It’s terribly true. Teflon and other chemicals used to make your food slip around your frying pan are downright nasty! Each pan is dipped into a bath of perflurochemicals, which is designed to repel water and oil. According to the Environmental Working Group, Teflon and other non-stick stuff is worse for you than DDT, which is a pesticide that’s been banned due to its effect on the human body!
